Kay Foye Prairie Knife
Kay Foye and Christopher Chevalier spent a six week residency at our Chico Basin Ranch gathering found materials from the surrounding prairie to incorporate into a collection of unique blades that tell the Ranchlands story of ranching and land conservation.
Each blade was hand forged from repurposed farrier's rasps, and the handles crafted individually according to Kay's unique process.
The Prairie handles include: cattle bone, horse hair, leather, sage brush, baling twine, tumbleweed, fence post, cattle horn, crushed brick, green clay, pronghorn, deer antler, and burl wood.
Each knife comes in a custom-shaped sheath built with durable veg tanned leather.
Please note that each knife is unique and may vary from what's pictured. Please allow 7-10 days for knives to ship.
